Hello! Its been awhile since I blog! Nevertheless, for those who are coffee enthusiast like I do, I'm sure you know what's going to happen in less than two weeks time!

Malaysia Coffee Fest 2018 is happening soon, this coming 12th to 15th July 2018, in 1 Utama Shopping Centre! Very promising event for those who are coffee fanatics or new to Malaysian coffee scene! I've been there and done that! Of course, till today I'm proud that I have never give up on coffee life or whatever that is related to the coffee industry. Coffee scene in Malaysia has been growing tremendously over the past few years, it all started with our local barista compete on World Barista Championship which the Malaysian coffee scene gained recognition from the eye of the locals and internationals.

 Who's going?

 Coffee enthusiasts or barista, may visit the small space provided by the company, to gain better understanding about the coffee machine equipment that are being showcased in the gallery. From home-use (Linea Mini) to aesthetic yet contemporary espresso machine (Pro Mod).

 The grand opening of La Marzocco Malaysia also featured local coffee roasters such as The Roast Things, Coffee Concepts and Sprezzatura Coffee.

However, during the Grand Opening of La Marzocco Malaysia, they revealed that Leva will take approximately 1 or 3 months time, to arrive in the Malaysia market.

Just another day of visit to a newly opened cafe called Page 2, project by Cafe In A Box. A team of baristas that started out as a weekend barista who are always enthusiast in the coffee scene. One of the in-charge person of this cafe was crowned champion in Malaysia Brewers' Cup 2015, Malaysia Siphonist Championship 2016 and had 1st Runner Up of World Siphonist Championship 2016.

Unfortunately on the day of my visit, the siphonist expert wasn't on duty. 

So, I was attended by a friendly barista named Edward (and not to forget the other Page 2 team members).

Here, I'm trying the pour-over coffee that is based on El Salvador Finca El Carmen, washed process, a red bourbon that portray the prominent notes of lemon, apple crisp and cinnamon. Needless to say, it was reasonably bright and had several hint of floral aromas. Overall, this bean charmed me endlessly.

What to expect here?

Expect good coffee (siphon/pour-over) from them.

Food wise, I couldn't give any recommendations as I have not taste them yet.
