Stay @ The Chow Kit - An Ormond Hotel
The Chow Kit, part of the beautiful boutique by Ormond Hotels - located in Chow Kit district of Kuala Lumpur. A boutique hotel that represents memories of the past where people literally ran into each other on the streets and stumbled over furniture on sidewalks. The hotel has 113 rooms that brings the recollection of traditional memories through its Malaysian Oriental design.
As you walk in from the main door, you will be greeted by the doorman that will lead you to the front desk. It is a straight-forward large space inside whereby you will also oversee the space of the lobby, bar, in-house restaurant as well as a stair that lead you to the mezzanine level.

The Den (Room)
During the stay, The Den is the entry level room to start with in The Chow Kit. According to the establishment, The Den named after Chow Kit's historically infamous gambling dens. It is 15 sqm in size that best fit 2 adults, coupled with floor-to-ceiling window overseeing KL city view.
The Den is a cosy and compact queen bed room with considered details, timber floors, rain shower, luxury linens, Smart TV and bespoke organic toiletries - which will be further listed below.

The room at first glance, it did feels oriental, resembling the golden days of the Chinese den, especially the bed frame and the fixed lights. The placement of the sink rather odd, beside the bed, probably due to internal space constraint. Bed was comfy. I love the Smart TV during my stay as it allows me to connect to Apple TV. Water pressure in the bathroom was superb and I have no issue with the drainage. The only amenity that lacking was no disposable toothbrush and toothpaste.
