I got to know that the new Scandinavian coffee shop, Kopenhagen Coffee, is at somewhere around the neighborhood, thanks to Instagram.

To get here, netizens stated that locating Kopenhagen Coffee can be tricky but not for me, as the signboard is noticeable from a distant, above the salon. Also to take note that, parking is limited in that area, so best to be there early as possible before noon.
Moreover, they are in soft launch mode, in which their business are tentative.

Stairway to Copenhagen. Also meant for "Smoking area".
For those who still don't know about me, I'm a huge fan of white. When it comes to interior aspect of design, simple and minimalist - as well as minimal usage of color, is a must have 'element' for me.

Most basic counter top.
In Kopenhagen, the area is small and seats are limited, ideally for pairs or group of fours. Anything beyond the suggested number, might need to seek advice or arrangement with the staff prior visit.

Cappuccino @ RM 11.00
Serving cappuccino in a dynasty-designed chinaware, uses the blend that consists of Brazil, Colombia and Nicaragua - roasted by Sprezzatura in Petaling Jaya.

Scramble Eggs with Fresh Cherry Tomatoes with Croissant @ RM 14.00
Simple and cheap price for a cafe. Scramble eggs and fresh cherry tomatoes are generous and sufficient enough, in my opinion. The croissant really caught me off guard, it was flaky on the outside and buttery moist and smell full of butter, which is really delicious to eat. Definitely would order this in the future, without doubt!

I have been busy lately and did not manage to update my blog like my usual old days.
As the new start of 2017, I would like to blog about my experienced in Dessert Bar by Stanley Choong.

Before you read any further, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize if my blog seems dead for the past few months as well as the picture in this post aren't beautiful enough to make you drool.
So... as I was looking for the dessert bar, I look out for the pink neon light bunny, which said that it has a charm to lure customers into the shop. The color seems kinky to me, nevertheless attractive.

Coconut Lime
I lay my dessert fork on this beautiful attractive "Coconut Lime" tart as it has lots of components that uphold this attractive tart. The components are lemon curd, coconut panna cotta, and almond dacqouise. It compliment so well that I feel the need to eat them completely as a whole, instead of bit by bit.

Yuzu
P/s: Yuzu at the bottom appears handicapped in this picture.
Yuzu cake is really interesting here as it blends with multiple layer of different ingredients such as yuzu cremeux, caramelized hazelnuts, flaked almonds and rich moussey Belgium chocolate.

Choux with Chocolate dusting on top.
Unfortunately, I din't enjoy this one. The choux puff seemed like it has been born and abandoned inside the chiller for one week or so because the texture of the choux puff is hard and dry than the usual choux puff that makes it difficult to chew. The creme inside the choux puff also seems like it has been dried out too.

Cappuccino
Of course, you will need coffee to accompany the dish on top of the table.
Coffee here is great, it is slight light to medium-bodied, *in my opinion*, perfect when pair with the dessert that you indulge.

In short, the price for each item is reasonable (range RM 6 to RM 18) for patisseries. You may opt for "Harney & Son's" tea or carbonated drinks if you dislike coffee. Warm service by the cashier. Environment is clean and comfortable.

I'm astound to learn the news of a new coffee shop (One Half) recently launched their business in an old yet matured area, in Taman Paramount - a place known for its local delicacies such as Nasi Lemak Bumbung, XO fish head noodle and the popular burger sold in nationwide, namely myBurgerLab and many more!

What makes One Half a unique coffee shop that it stands out among the rest in that particular area is that One Half operates beneath Brats's shelter, in result of specialized in serving specialty coffee, delicious cakes and tea as well as their sinful hot-dog bun (brought to you by Brats).
"Why One Half is specialized in serving specialty coffee? Why is One Half so unique among the rest as they only serve coffee, tea and cakes as well as the aid of Brats serving hot-dog bun?"

Long story short, the steamy steampunk helmed by young coffee enthusiasts - Mr. Koay and friends. Keith Koay especially, who recently crowned as the Malaysia Barista Champion 2016 and represented Malaysia to compete in the World Barista Championship 2016 in the city of Dublin as the top contender. With his knowledge and technical skills on brewing a cup of coffee, certainly that any of you who is a coffee connoisseur, would appreciate and fall in love in the state of coffee world under his sleeve. No doubt that his hard work and consistency of practice, has lift him up to a whole new level. Brats is an establishment that sells hot-dog bun with their very own homemade German sausage which makes them a unique eatery that caters the demand. With both establishments collaborating with one another is a plus point, which benefit both side in terms of product varieties has to offer to the walk-ins.

Welcome!
Selection of specialty coffee beans on the counter top.
Here, you may opt for the typical espresso-based coffee or the hand brew coffee. Each brewing method has their own respective beans to go with. So better ask the barista for more details!
Cakes are also available on board. Cakes offer are tentative.

1- Kenya Gathaita AA @ RM 16.00
Hand brewing be like?
During my visit to One Half, I told Keith that I'm looking for something fruity and bright in taste. So he recommended me to try this bean, Kenya Gathaita AA and it fit perfectly right to my buds. This Kenya Gathaita AA  has the taste notes of raspberry, pomegranate and fruit tea. A decent strength of flavor and aroma as well as brightness to it.

2- Lemon Pistachio @ RM 12.00
I had the Lemon Pistachio cake. The texture of each layer of sponge cake, flavor and frosting are good, in my opinion (not too sour and sweet in taste. This cake goes well if you have earthier and darker coffee). The amount of pistachio nuts on top are generous too.

3- Cappuccino @ RM 10.00
Champion is in da house~~ Cuppa Joe is in the making.
Last but not least, it is mandatory to try their white coffee since the champion is in the house. One Half uses their very own blend (mix of Brazil & Columbian beans) to brew this right balance cup of coffee. My personal impression at first sip, it somehow has a punch of unidentified flora and fruity flavor, follow-up by noticeable hint of brightness and acidity. As I continued to drink, it has hint of chocolaty to it. Mild yet sweet, in general.
In conclusion, this place has become one of my favorite in my personal cafe hopping list, due to the excellent cup of coffee that they are able to execute and a quiet place to be in, during day time on weekdays.

Apart from coffee and tea, you may opt for their homemade soda drink or beer. Pertaining to food, Brats hotdog bun is not available for sale yet due to the upgrading in-progress in their kitchen. Best is to wait for One Half or Brats's official announcement.

2016 and still counting...
It is time for everyone's new chapter of life as soon as new year hits in, #TeamTheOwlsCafe on the side, pop-out with their new launch, called the New Chapter. New Chapter by The Owls Cafe was born in Calvary Convention Centre (a church centre) nearby Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Resort.

This time, the space within the vicinity has doubled compared to their first outlet (The Owls Cafe @ Jalan Jalil Jaya 6) and comprehend with pretty wooden-white furnitures, patterned tiles and clean white walls.
If you are a returning customer of The Owls Cafe, I'm sure you know the struggle just to get a seat in their cafe due to their lucrative business that produces high turnovers. However as mentioned above on their new expansion in New Chapter, it is easily accessible this time without any queue despite having huge crowd !
(Existance of queue(s) still can be vary on different days/season - just be there early and you will be fine)
"Ms. Loo at her steampunk"

Infused Water (RM 13.00)
Started out with this Infused Water to refresh myself after a long distance of driving. Infused Water is mixed with seasonal fruits. The fruits content inside the Infused Water can be vary from time to time, so there are chances that you might not get exactly the same as mine.

Cappuccino - Single shot 6oz (RM 8.00)
One thing that can't be miss out especially when you are in New Chapter/The Owls Cafe, which is their coffee. Why? It is because the barista behind the steampunk were experienced & passionate about coffee that will change your mind :P Each shots pulled were pleasant, smooth and clean.
So I ordered myself a cup of cappuccino with a single shot to get caffeinated.

Meanwhile, breakfast & brunch menu in New Chapter seems limited compared to their other half - The Owls Cafe. Pretty sure it is because New Chapter just came out not long ago, so my rough guess is that they are in the midst of implementing something new and interesting. Till then, go click Like at their Facebook page to follow-up on their cafe updates.*

English Muffin (RM 16.00)
Opt for something healthy and light-meal? Go for the English style muffin with egg mayonnaise & semi sun-dried tomatoes with mix green salad and buttered parsley potatoes on side. This plate is good enough for those who want to save space for the waffles later.

Baker On the Go - Chunky Sea Catch (RM 18.00)
The name of the menu item says it all. Pastry and sea catch? Well that literally translated, a plate that has a flavored Crispy Croissant stuffed with fresh tuna chunk with creamy mayonnaise served with salads & fries. Great!

Midori *NEW* (RM 21.00)
I was told that Midori released not long ago, so I decided to give this a try. It is a matcha based waffle filled with generous amount of Mandarin oranges with sprinkle of pistachio, homemade black sesame & coconut ice cream together with red bean cream. It is weird to have combination of waffles with ice cream alongside with the Mandarin oranges but luckily it suits my taste bud well. The ice cream is superb authentic especially the coconut flavour. However, if there is a chance to rewind, I would go back to Rebecca :3

Good luck!

When my friends were wondering what's so great about drinking specialty coffee everyday, I would usually advice them to visit Cream before jumping into any conclusion or simply judging without their sense on. A place that not many will know of and it is one of the best cafe, serving the best specialty coffee in town. Cream is actually under The Roast Things, a company that roast coffee beans. They are known for roasting good grade of specialty coffee and supply the beans throughout the nation.
Cream c/o The Roast Things is situated deep within the corporate area where only the locals will know about this place by heart. So most of the locals within the area are working adults - grabbing the coffee-on-the-go pretty much give them a good energy to move on. For stranger like me, well, gotta catch up with the coffee scandals in order to discover place like this :P

Interior was pretty laid back for me, as I love simple white and grey walls with contemporary furnished wooden furniture around me. Accompany with fresh flower pots stood still beside the windows while slowly indulge a cup of coffee - is the things that I would wake up for, every single morning.
I started my morning in Cream by having a cup of cappuccino. The blend that Cream uses for my cappuccino (applies to all white coffee only) consists of 30% of Guatemala Piedra Azul, 30% of Kenya Kiungu and 40% of El Salvador Vila Galicia, which resulted in a good balance cup of coffee.

"Dream workstation"
"Hand brew / Filtered Coffee of Specialty Coffee"
Knowing that I'm already here in Cream which carries variety of specialty coffee beans, so I decided to increase the damage to my wallet for this filter-coffee :P
//As far as I noticed, most of the cafe in Klang Valley only serve a hot cup of filtered coffee, but here in Cream, they serve one hot and one iced because they want you to taste the coffee in different temperature.
Allowed me to introduce you to Tanzania Kanji Peaberry (washed). This bean characteristic has hint of prunes, black current, canned fruit and it is dense in bodied. To my surprise, this bean is very bright in acidity compared to other beans that I have tried during my past. As for the iced version(right), it reminds me of having a cold brew coffee in Brewmen because it has a similar taste and characteristic that I can never forget of...
It was worth-it to ordered em'.

If you are coffee lover, then this is a must to visit this place as they are providing high grade & quality of specialty coffee for all consumers. Cream also mentioned that they will be hosting various of coffee workshop in the near future to educate the people whom have the same mindset as them. Before I forget, Cream only serve sandwich and cakes, so please do not be disappoint as they have space limitation.
Other than that, watch out for their promotions / shout outs via social media, description below.

The pioneer of Wanderlust is actually known as Departure Lounge, which underwent few months of renovation to transform into something that nobody will thought of. The transformation towards the new business (Wanderlust) is pretty amazing from the inside out, in which everybody has to give it a try!
Before I forget, Wanderlust c/o Departure Lounge known for producing many talented baristas over the years and granting them the sustainable titles and awards for being able to compete number of competition over the years.

Set their lore aside, their environment truly astounding where it gives a sense of freedom and sophisticated blue that symbolizes the name of their shop, Wanderlust, after all this is what 'wanderlust' is all about.

Wanderlust is not just only excel in preparing specialty coffees, but they are good in culinary too. Check below.

Food
1- Wanderlust Breakfast Bunny (RM 29.00)
You are able to choose egg of your choice (scrambled, poached, fried or omelette eggs), chicken sausage, turkey bacon, mushrooms, hash brown, toasted bun, baked beans, cherry tomato, rocket leaves and caramelized banana. Overall, it looked pretty generous in portion and everything cooked perfectly. My only wish is that maybe they can add one scoop of mash potato inside the bread where you can see hash brown, turkey bacon ....

2- Pancake (RM 24.00)
Something that I did not expect to see from Wanderlust in my breakfast! The plating is an art for an art! The Pancake is served with chrysanthemum poached pear, goji berry syrup and Thai tea cream.
Loving the fluffy pancakes especially when it is feast together with cuts of poached pear and a little dip of Thai tea cream :)

Drinks
1- Cold Brew Coffee (RM 12- 16)
One of the beautiful and friendly waitress recommended me to try out their new invention, so I did.
A tray that contains (1) 100 ml of cold brew coffee [single origin - Tanzania, Acacia Hills (light to medium bodied)], (1) sparkling water, (1)dehydrated/dried orange and a syringe of sweet syrup.
So I was told that it can be any combination of my own to archive the desire taste. Before I mix everything into one, I usually taste each of the components so that I can control and gauge the taste once I'm ready to fuse everything in.
Despite all mixed up, I can finally conclude that the dried orange is very strong!

2- Roselle Tea (RM12.00)
I'm sure you know how a roselle tea taste like, right? Its basically like those typical Malaysian 'Air Sirup', but roselle tends to be more authentic in taste and aroma and slightly less sweet than the 'Air Sirup'. This is good to drink especially during summer.

In conclusion, I like the customer service because they are friendly and attentive. The food is amazing in terms of plating and taste wise too. I wanted to ordered hot beverage like cappuccino but I got recommended to try their cold brew invention, so maybe next time I will try it if I happen to be there. Also, I heard their dinner is great too! Hmmm.
