The widely known The Daily Fix Cafe also runs another cafe on the other side of the Jonker Street called Sin See Tai (新时代) with translation known as "new generation" or " new era". A different concept compared to their sister cafe.
The size of the shop in Sin See Tai is rather uniquely tiny, approximately as big as 20m sq at most. So there's no seating at the ground floor as it is already occupied with kitchenware. Behind the kitchen, is a (very) steep stair for customers to climb up for their seats. Customer(s) with skirt outfit, better to have your partner to shield your butt cheek.
However, Sin See Tai recently expanded their business premise by occupying next unit. The size of the space are the same with just a few additional seats at the ground floor.
Weather in Melaka always humid and hot, thus a glass of Iced Latte (RM 11.00) will fit the condition. The coffee bean itself was roasted by themselves with mixture of Colombia-Brazil origin, with a perfect balance of boldness and sweetness.
Not to forget that Sin See Tai's signature was The Waffle & Popsicle (RM 18.00). A plate that consists of half crispy waffle topped with homemade popsicle, garnished with healthy granola, oranges, dragon fruits, grapes, almonds, and drizzle of honey syrup.
Homemade popsicle has mixture of citrus fruit that gives out the acidity to match with the crispy waffle. Overall, plating was attractive, however, the taste wise in summary - mediocre.
