Norm Micro Roastery is another new project by Norm Penang, where this space will be for specialty-coffee-centric, serving all-day brunch, cakes and desserts and sometimes seasonal menu item by the counter.
Loving the space inside as it has raw cement finishing coupled with green pots and gravels. Minimalist, spacious and has high ceiling as well as abundant of natural lighting from the ceiling panels. Seats are quite unique on its own, custom built arrangement with designated shape.

Had this Prawn & Pumpkin Risotto (RM 32) that was Moroccan spiced prawn with pumpkin risotto, clams, shimeji, crispy sage and parmesan cheese. Overall, taste was absolutely fantastic - risotto was cooked to al-dente, packed with flavors from the pumpkin and mixed spices, and generous amount of clams. Prawns was big and fresh too!

If you can't take heavy food for your breakfast, try the Eggs Your Way (RM 13) comes with choice of poached eggs, scrambled eggs or fried eggs on toast. Had mine with scrambled eggs, perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper, well drizzled with olive oil and topped with coriander. Sourdough is great in my own opinion as it isn't chewy or hard to bite.

Dessert wise, I was fortunate to have a try on their off-menu dessert, Vanilla Creme Brulee. Straight-up creamy custard with a layer of caramelized sugar vanilla pod essence, very soft yet not compromising the flavor of vanilla - yummy! Also, you will not feel satiated from eating it as it is soft in texture and flavor. So, there's plenty more room for your tummy!

Up next is the Lemon Custart Tart. A palate cleansing dessert with great acidity from the lemon. Ruiny custard, firm tart. Well, what more can I say.

As for beverages, there are selections of drinks - ranging from coffee, tea to mock-tails to choose from. Iced Matcha Latte (RM 15) was rich in matcha flavor and has the right proportion of fresh milk and matcha mixture. Also has my White - Regular serving for RM 11.00, with coffee beans roasted by themselves.

Brewing coffee is like orchestra.

Minimalism.

Just look out for this entrance.
My personal summary: Great place for photographer. Car park can be challenging during peak hours, hence, park at your own risk - so be there early to avoid disappointment. Good food and drinks.

Always wanted to know what it feels like to dine in Australia? Here, The Forum KL located in The Signature Serviced Suites & Studios KL will give you a glimpse of it in the heart of Kuala Lumpur!
Inside, it is spacious enough to accommodate up to 50 to 80 pax with ease. All the furniture used were mostly made up of furnished grey-brown wood to pair up with the one-sided leather sofa. As I looked closely, the entire building was surround by glass panel which makes everything so beautiful when it is a lovely sunny day. All these designs were similar to what Australians did to their contemporary architecture designs so you don't need to travel to Australia just to get this feel.

Here is the menu of The Forum KL
The price of most items here is actually quite steep but thankfully there's no GST implement, otherwise it will cost me a kidney...

 A) Cappuccino (RM 12.00)
Great and smooth cup of cuppa joe, intermediate to heavy-bodied which I can sense a little of earthy and chocolate aroma within sips. Great start!

B) Classic Pancakes (RM 9.80)
Fluffy pancakes and it taste good along side with a block of butter and a cup of maple syrup. At least this place doesn't serve pancakes that has overpowered flour-ish taste within, which is a good thing because not many outlets could do that.

C) Carbonara (RM 25.80)
Forum's carbonara used fettuccine served with the option of beef bacon or chicken meat alongside with shiitake mushrooms and deep-fried crackers. Loving the presentation, felt as if I'm in a high-graded restaurant! Amazing aroma however I wish the carbonara needs more moist or sauce within the plate for easy continuous feast on.

D) Zuchinni Lime Cake (RM 14.80)
Do not judge its book by its cover. A moist and delicious zuchinni-sponge cake topped with zesty lime cream cheese frosting and julienne of zuchinni! Lovely, every elements in it, is well-balanced and not too overpowering.

A significant view & atmosphere to enjoy while having pancakes and sipping cuppa Joe, in the morning like this.

The pioneer of Wanderlust is actually known as Departure Lounge, which underwent few months of renovation to transform into something that nobody will thought of. The transformation towards the new business (Wanderlust) is pretty amazing from the inside out, in which everybody has to give it a try!
Before I forget, Wanderlust c/o Departure Lounge known for producing many talented baristas over the years and granting them the sustainable titles and awards for being able to compete number of competition over the years.

Set their lore aside, their environment truly astounding where it gives a sense of freedom and sophisticated blue that symbolizes the name of their shop, Wanderlust, after all this is what 'wanderlust' is all about.

Wanderlust is not just only excel in preparing specialty coffees, but they are good in culinary too. Check below.

Food
1- Wanderlust Breakfast Bunny (RM 29.00)
You are able to choose egg of your choice (scrambled, poached, fried or omelette eggs), chicken sausage, turkey bacon, mushrooms, hash brown, toasted bun, baked beans, cherry tomato, rocket leaves and caramelized banana. Overall, it looked pretty generous in portion and everything cooked perfectly. My only wish is that maybe they can add one scoop of mash potato inside the bread where you can see hash brown, turkey bacon ....

2- Pancake (RM 24.00)
Something that I did not expect to see from Wanderlust in my breakfast! The plating is an art for an art! The Pancake is served with chrysanthemum poached pear, goji berry syrup and Thai tea cream.
Loving the fluffy pancakes especially when it is feast together with cuts of poached pear and a little dip of Thai tea cream :)

Drinks
1- Cold Brew Coffee (RM 12- 16)
One of the beautiful and friendly waitress recommended me to try out their new invention, so I did.
A tray that contains (1) 100 ml of cold brew coffee [single origin - Tanzania, Acacia Hills (light to medium bodied)], (1) sparkling water, (1)dehydrated/dried orange and a syringe of sweet syrup.
So I was told that it can be any combination of my own to archive the desire taste. Before I mix everything into one, I usually taste each of the components so that I can control and gauge the taste once I'm ready to fuse everything in.
Despite all mixed up, I can finally conclude that the dried orange is very strong!

2- Roselle Tea (RM12.00)
I'm sure you know how a roselle tea taste like, right? Its basically like those typical Malaysian 'Air Sirup', but roselle tends to be more authentic in taste and aroma and slightly less sweet than the 'Air Sirup'. This is good to drink especially during summer.

In conclusion, I like the customer service because they are friendly and attentive. The food is amazing in terms of plating and taste wise too. I wanted to ordered hot beverage like cappuccino but I got recommended to try their cold brew invention, so maybe next time I will try it if I happen to be there. Also, I heard their dinner is great too! Hmmm.

Softcore, or also known as molten cake shop, just opened right after I completed my final year in Sunway University. I got to know about their existence through my friends who posted several pictures over social media, so one morning I've decided to give it a try.

Softcore, mainly famous for their selection of flavors, delicious and affordable molten cake, the only outlet of its kind in Bandar Sunway.

The students who study nearby, are very lucky - because today, there are more than 50 Food & Beverage outlets to be picky at.
Anyway, as soon as you set foot at the entrance of Softcore, this is how it will look like from the outside. Elegantly furnished seats that makes passersby wonder what Softcore has to offer.
Inside, completely filled with modern wood-material furniture and a simple bar area that sums out the interior of the shop. Another minimalist design which every shop uses nowadays, nothing out of the ordinary.

So, the indoor provides high capacity of seats as well as pamper the diners by air-conditioning. However, the lighting in-house is slightly dim, personally I would have preferred it brighter. Most of the indoor pictures that I took, had already been tweaked to look brighter.
If you are a smoker, you can opt for the outdoor seats. Chewing your food while stoning within the smoke particles :)

Without any further ado, here is the menu of Softcore. Have a look at their menu item before heading in. Note that this shop does not charge you on GST and Service Charge, meaning, there's no need to burn extra hole in your wallet.
Once you are ready to order, head to this simple yet nicely set-up counter and proceed further.
At times, several promotional items only appear at the counter, so remember to check it out with the cashier.

Breakfast
1- Mac N Cheese (RM 11.00)
Nothing much to brag about but my only rant was on the macaroni that baked with cheese. It wasn't cheesy enough as compared to Yellow Brick Road's Mac & Cheese. If only Softcore could produce something cheesy as YBR's and retain at the same price... It will be perfect!
2- Minimal (RM 17.00)
Despite stated in the menu, I find no Jalapenos inside my plate. I expect more flavors from the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, however, it was rather embarrassing. Plain filling that filled with cheddar and tomato sauce only.

Desserts
Apart from the above, below are the best highlights of Softcore !
Here, I ordered two different version of Molten cake, which is Dark Chocolate and Matcha flavor!

-Matcha (RM 15.00)
I actually love the combination of Matcha molten cake that served with one part of citrus ingredient (lime) and another one part of icy cold chilling ice cream. In summary, everything plated on this plate makes sense and good thing that they did not try hard to plate something weird on the plate.
Witness the Before and After break-out of this molten cake. Fantastically done.

-Dark Chocolate (RM 13.00)
The name of the molten cake says it all, its a dark chocolate-flavored of molten cake that will always be everyone's favorite! Softcore uses fine Belgium chocolate couvertures, garnished with strawberry slices, a few fruitful of blueberries, droplets of puree and fine chocolate powder with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top of it which sums out the final outcome of this dessert plate!
Witness the Before and After break-out of this molten cake. Fantastically done.

Beverage
As for the beverage, I decided to try out their Santan Red Bean milkshake (RM 15.00), because the description stated all of the ingredients which I'm really fine with.
I really love the taste of this milkshake because I'm a big fan of red bean! Sadly, I despised that they served the milkshake in a cocktail shaker. Don't you think milkshake suppose to be serve in a rock bar dessert glass?

If you wish to save cost for drinks, Softcore did prepared two large water tank just for you so that you can save some money! Self-service boys and girls!

Photography
Knowing that Softcore has its minimal-style within their keep, which makes photography-worthy for all walk-ins.
"I will be your light-bulb"

The placement of sofa and desk was perfect in such a way that the natural light pierce on them, in simple term, good for photography.

Elegantly furnished wood for outdoor seats.

Rising flowers!

Summary
To keep words short, Softcore is the only outlet of its kind that serve the cheapest and delicious molten cake in Bandar Sunway - in which could satisfy female's craving, to be precise. However, the breakkie is not worth calling for. You decide.
